Thaumo is developing a family of affordable unmanned systems designed to deliver mission-relevant performance and threat representation without the logistical demands associated with larger platforms. Our approach combines adaptable air vehicles, configurable signatures, reusable mission systems, and cost-conscious manufacturing.
INITIAL PLATFORM
Our initial development effort focuses on Group 2-class unmanned aerial systems optimized for threat representation and defense test, training, and evaluation. The objective is to deliver a practical balance of representative performance, signature characteristics, affordability, and operational simplicity.
Performance and signature characteristics will be established through testing and validation as development progresses.
Signature representation
A threat’s relevance to a defensive system is not determined by its physical dimensions alone. Radar observables, infrared characteristics, flight behavior, and other detectable features influence how a threat is identified, tracked, and engaged.
Thaumo’s development approach seeks to reproduce selected mission-relevant characteristics through configurable signature solutions integrated into smaller platforms. Our objective is not to build a full-scale physical duplicate of every represented threat. It is to develop an affordable means of presenting the characteristics needed for a specific training or evaluation objective.
